TRUE DESIGN IS _TIMELESS.
I treat design as an art. Following trends isn't my only aim, nor is it always part of the criteria, unless, of course, it's needed.
To me, a good design language has to last the test of time. You're using that brand for a long while, so why make something you have to keep revising?
Examples of timeless design are everywhere. Celtic knots, the McDonald's logo, GAP, the IBM logo, the ABC logo, the Apple logo, religious symbols, the British Rail double arrow, the Transport for London Roundel, Swiss Style, (roughly) the BBC logo, I'm sure there's so much more to list. It requires a certain kind of craftsmanship to make something that lasts.
In which I respond,
Hi. I'll give it a try.
Hi, I'm Yua (pronouns: she/they). I'm a Welsh freelance graphics designer that loves music, transit, tech, broadcast, and well, graphics design.
I'm… well, unique in personality, I suppose. I tend to spend a lot of my free time on graphics design. I'm also currently studying media in college, and I've worked as a live sound engineer in the past for my father.
I'm not really doing this for profit, but more so to finally turn what I enjoy into a genuine thing. It'd be nice to put my skills to work, and help other people. I plan on studying graphics design in university, and hopefully turn this into a real thing.
If you're interested, please reach out to me, and we'll explore options and pricing, and I'll do my best to provide a fit-for-purpose product.
